REST/JSON — Simplest integration. Send JSON, authenticate with an API key header. Best for custom integrations.

cXML — XML-based protocol used by Ariba, Coupa, and other procurement platforms. Uses your API key in the SharedSecret element of the XML envelope.

OCI — Open Catalog Interface, primarily used with SAP. Authentication via form parameters, response via redirect.
